19. janvāri būs Raita Zapacka leļļu teatris "Kur pazudis vilks?" plkst 9:30, latviešu baznīcas lielāja zālē. Bērniem līdz 10 gadiem, bet VISA VECUMA skatītāji mīļi aicināti! Skolas saimei ieeja par brīvu, pārējiem pret ziedojumu. Pasaku stāstnieka Raita Zapacka leļļu izrāde ar Sarkangalvīti un sivēnu, kur varoņi sazvanās un mēģina noskaridrot, kur palicis vilks. Senas pasakas apvienotas mūsdienu versijā. Izrādes laikā bērni var iepazīties ar lellēm pavisam tuvu, vingrot, dziedāt, minēt mīklas, un iet rotaļas. Izrādes garums - aptuveni 35 min.

19. janvārī arī būs Raita Zapacka koncertizrāde - muzikāla tikšanās par maestro Raimondu Paulu plkst 12:30pp, latviešu baznīcas lielāja zālē. Ieeja pret ziedojumu, sakot no $20 pieaugušajiem, $10 jauniešiem (13-18), bērniem ieeja bez maksas. Noslegumā vīns, atspirdzinājumi un uzkodas. Raimonds Pauls ir spožākais latviešu estrādes mūzikas komponists, kurš savu pirmo ierakstu veica 1956 gadā. Maestro joprojām, 89 gadu vecumā, aktīvi koncertē, veic ierakstus un rāda jaunas koncertprogrammas. Koncertā skanēs labi zināmas un līdzi dziedamas Raimonda Paula melodijas. Būs arī neliels video ieskats pārdomas par Latvijas Radio, kas 2025. gadā svinēs 100 jubileju, kur Maestro ieskaņojis neskaitāmus mūzikas albumus.

20. janvārī būs Raita Zapacka programma par Vili Plūdoni un dzejnieka darbu lasījumi, kā arī interesanti vingrinājumi labai izrunai/dikcijai plkst 13:00pp, latviešu baznīcas lielāja zālē. Aptiveni 60 min. Laba nordarbība no bērniem 7 gadiem. Vecāki noteikti var piedalīties! Pēc nodarbības pīca! Mēs atgriežamies skolā 25. janvāri. No school on January 18th. Enjoy your free time Saturday morning. January 19th is the Raitis Zapackis puppet theater "Where has the wolf gone?"at 9:30am in the Latvian church large hall. The show is designed for children under 10, but all ages are welcome! Free admission for Latvian school families, otherwise by donation. Storyteller Raitis Zapackis presents a puppet show starring Little Red and Piglet in search for the wolf. A modern take on classic fairy tales! During the show, children get an up close look at the puppets, as well as movement, singing, guessing riddles, and playing games. Approximately 35 min long. January 19th is also the Raitis Zapackis musical introduction to Latvian composer Raimonds Pauls starting at 12:30pm in the Latvian church large hall. Admission is through a suggested donation starting at $20 for adults, $10 for youth ages 13-18, and free for children under 13. Following the show will be wine, sparkling drinks (spritzers), and snacks. Raimonds Pauls is the brightest Latvian composer of staged music (choral, orchestral, and pop, etc...), whose first composition debuted in 1956. The maestro, at 89 years old, is still active in the concert scene, composing and performing new works. The concert will include well-known and singable Raimonds Pauls melodies. It will also include a short video documentary about Latvian Radio, who will celebrate its 100 year anniversary in 2025, and has played countless albums by Raimonds Pauls during that time. January 20th is the Raitis Zapackis program about Vilis Plūdonis at 1pm (approximately 60 min long) in the Latvian church large hall. Raitis will tell stories of the poet's life, perform some of the famous poems students learn whether they attend Latvian school here or in Latvia. Students will also get to practice some declamation exercises! This program would be best suited for students 7 years and older. Parents are welcome to participate. We will have some pizza afterwards. We will return to school on January 25th.
